Remove background on mac using Quick Actions:
- Open the Finder app
- Select the image
- Select Quick Actions → Remove Background
This is the simplest way to remove background images on Macs with Apple Silicon chips.
Remove background on Mac using Preview
- Open the Finder app
- Open the image in Preview (default)
- Do the steps in the below image
- Drag over part of the background.
- Preview selects the area you dragged over and any pixels adjacent to it that have the same colors.
- To delete the selected area, press Delete. To delete everything outside the selected area, choose Edit > Invert Selection, then press Delete.
